1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GIF Compressor at 10mbgif.com (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

GIF Compressor provides a browser-based tool to compress and optimize GIF files. Core compression runs locally on your device using WebAssembly technology. Your GIF files are not uploaded to our servers for processing.

Free features may have limits (for example, maximum free file size or single-file processing). Pro or paid features may unlock higher limits, batch processing, or other capabilities described on the site at the time of purchase.

3. Your Responsibilities

• You are solely responsible for the files you process with the Service.
• You must have the right to process the content you compress (including copyright and any required permissions).
• You must not use the Service for unlawful purposes or in a way that harms others, interferes with the Service, or attempts to abuse payment or licensing systems.
• You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of any license key issued to you and for activity under that key.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service in a harmful way
• Circumvent free-tier limits, paywalls, or license checks except as allowed
• Share, resell, or publicly distribute license keys without our permission
• Use automated means to attack, disrupt, or extract non-public data from the Service

5. Purchases and Licenses

Paid plans or lifetime licenses (if offered) are billed through our payment provider (for example, Creem). Prices and features are shown at checkout and may change for future purchases.

• License keys may be device- or activation-limited as described at purchase or in the provider's documentation.
• Refunds, chargebacks, and cancellations are handled according to the payment provider's policies and applicable law. Contact support@10mbgif.com for billing help.
• We may suspend or revoke a license obtained through fraud, abuse, or material breach of these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to your original GIF files. Because processing is local, we do not claim ownership of your content and do not need a license to store it on our servers.

The Service itself—including branding, website design, copy, and software we provide—is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy or reuse our branding or site materials without permission, except for fair use or as allowed by law.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle website analytics, payments, and local license storage. By using the Service, you also acknowledge that policy.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." Compression quality, output size, and browser compatibility can vary by device, file, and settings. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will meet every platform's upload limits (for example, Discord or emoji size caps), though we design the tools to help you target those sizes.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GIF Compressor and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD $50.

10. Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where the Service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
